Welcome to the Navigators Family, Nicole Waldo!
Navigators Parents & Athletes,
We are thrilled to announce that after a monthsâlong search to find the right leader for our "Club/Rec Swim Team Manager" position, we have officially welcomed Nicole Waldo to the Navigators Swim Club family.
Nicole officially began her professional journey with us on Monday, July 27, 2026, immediately diving in head first (No Pun intended đ), providing extensive knowledge, leadership, and experience in competitive swim club operations.
Nicole brings over three years of direct USA Swimming club coaching and program management experience through her work with Cherokee County Parks & Recreation. She coached athletes ages 5â18, coordinated team events, supported budgeting and operations, and helped maintain a safe, structured, and positive training environment. Her background reflects what a strong club program strives for: consistency, communication, athlete development, and operational excellence.
In addition to her coaching experience, Nicole has significant aquatics facility operations experience. As a Facility Operations Coordinator with Cherokee County Parks & Recreation, she supervised staff, managed daily operations, coordinated scheduling, handled financial reporting, and ensured safety and efficiency across aquatic services. She knows the aquatics landscape from both the coaching side and the operational side; a combination that will continue to strengthen our program.
Nicole also comes from a deep swimâclub family legacy. Her father, Bill Waldo, is the Head Coach of the Cherokee County Swim Club. Nicole grew up immersed in competitive swimming, learning from one of the most respected club leaders in the region. She understands what it takes to run a successful, athleteâcentered program because she has lived it her entire life.
Her blend of being a competitive swimmer through high school, club coaching experience, aquatics operations expertise, and strong swim club roots makes her an exceptional fit to help guide our Navigators forward. Our athletes, families, and coaching staff are in experienced, capable, and steady hands with Nicoleâs leadership.
Please join us in giving Nicole a warm Navigator welcome as we begin this exciting new chapter together with her on Monday, July 27th!Â
