State Meet Info
Dear State Meet Participants,
We are still waiting for some final meet details, including our assigned warm-up times, timer assignments, heat sheets, and other information. As soon as we receive those details, we will share them with everyone. In the meantime, here is what we know based on the official meet information.

- We strongly recommend arriving in Moultrie on Thursday evening since warm-ups on Friday morning may begin as early as 7:00 AM.
Friday, July 10 – Preliminary Sessions
Friday's competition is divided into two sessions:
- AM Session: 10 & Under
- PM Session: 11 & Older (the exact start time will not be known until the morning session is complete)
Additional information:
- Warm-ups may begin as early as 7:00 AM. We do not yet know our assigned warm-up time.
- 9:00 AM: Session 1 begins
- Mid-morning/Midday: Session 2 begins
Understanding Friday vs. Saturday
The State Meet is different from our regular meets.
- In events with more than 8 Class B swimmers (or relay teams), Friday serves as the preliminary round, and the top 8 finishers advance to Saturday's finals.
- If an event has 8 or fewer Class B swimmers (or relay teams), that event will be swum as a Timed Final on Friday, meaning those results determine the final placings and there is no Saturday swim for that event.
For our team, swimmers who are entered ONLY in relay events (with the exception of the 10 & Under Girls relay) will swim their relay as a Timed Final on Friday and will NOT return to compete on Saturday.
If you are unsure whether this applies to your swimmer, please contact Coach Chuck at [email protected].
Saturday, July 11 – Finals (for qualifying events)
Saturday will also be divided into two sessions:
- Session 1: Events 1–45
- Session 2: Events 46–90
Additional information:
- Warm-ups may begin as early as 7:00 AM (assigned times are still pending).
- 9:00 AM: Session 1 begins.
- After Event 45, there will be a break and the competition pool will close before Session 2 begins.
- Mid-morning/Midday: Session 2 begins.
Awards will be presented after the meet concludes. If you are unable to stay for the awards ceremony, we will distribute your swimmer's medals and/or ribbons next week.
